Ethereum Classic (ETC) to USD converter

Use the calculator above to convert Ethereum Classic (ETC) into US dollars or another supported fiat currency. The ETC leg follows our live multi-exchange composite; fiat values use dated reference rates and are identified separately.

ETC to USD converts Ethereum Classic into dollars at our composite rate: every dollar-quoted ETC market we track, weighted by volume, rather than one exchange's price.

How is the Ethereum Classic conversion calculated?

We multiply the entered ETC amount by our current USD composite. For currencies other than USD, that result is multiplied by the displayed USD reference rate. Exchange fees, card charges, spreads and slippage are not included, so an actual buy or sale can settle at a different amount.

ETC means Ethereum Classic here

"ETC" also means "et cetera", and Ethereum Classic is easy to confuse with Ethereum. This converter prices ETC, Ethereum Classic, only.

Why the ETC to USD rate differs between exchanges

In our minute-by-minute measurement the gap between the highest and lowest venue averaged about 0.14 percent, more than five times Bitcoin's, and it went above half a percent in about 11 minutes out of every thousand. At its widest it reached about 1.9 percent.

On a large conversion the venue matters. The Ethereum Classic price page lists every venue's price side by side.

ETC to USD or ETC to USDT: is there a difference?

Usually a fraction of a cent per dollar. Most ETC volume trades against the stablecoins USDT and USDC rather than actual dollars. Our composite includes USD and the dollar stablecoins we track, so a stablecoin losing its peg would appear as cross-venue spread rather than quietly moving the rate.

What affects the ETC to USD rate

Supply and demand across the exchanges, and the wider crypto market. In our hourly composite ETC moved with Bitcoin at a correlation of about 0.60 and its moves were almost two and a half times the size of Bitcoin's.

The 24-hour high, low and change above show how far the rate has moved today. The gap between exchanges shows how much the venues disagree right now.

What you actually receive when you sell ETC for dollars

The converter shows market value. What reaches your bank is that value minus the trading fee, any fiat withdrawal fee, and slippage on a large order.

Worked example: selling 100 ETC at $10 is worth $1,000. A 0.1 percent spot fee takes $1, leaving $999 before withdrawal charges.

How much is 1 ETC worth?

One ETC is currently worth $7.21 on our composite. The value and both conversion tables update after the page loads when fresh composite prices arrive.

Ethereum Classic converter questions

01How much ETC can I buy for $1?

Divide $1 by the ETC price. At $10 per ETC, $1 buys about 0.10 ETC before fees. Most exchanges set a minimum order above $1.

02How much is Ethereum Classic in USD?

The converter above shows the live value of 1 ETC, calculated from our composite across every exchange we track.

03Is ETC the same as ETH?

No. ETC and ETH are separate coins on separate chains that share their early history. Their prices and addresses are not interchangeable.
